Your privacy and the protection of your personal data are important to me. We have an obligation to collect and protect your data in accordance with European standards for data protection. The goal of the framework is to make sure that we deal with your data in a lawful, fair, and transparent manner, and that we take steps to ensure that your data are adequately protected. I will not distribute, sell, or lease your personal information to third parties unless I have your explicit permission or are required by law to do so.
Why I collect your data
I collect yours or your child’s personal data because you give me consent to do so, to provide our independent dietetic services.
How your data is used
Communication:
When you contact me using email, a contact form on our website, via social media, or by any other method, I will use this information to reply to your message and to respond to your request.
Cookies
If you visit my login page, I will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, I will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
Analytics
I may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyse the use of our Service. Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualise and personalise the ads of its own advertising network.
You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

The right to be informed about my collection and use of your personal data.
You may request details of personal information, which we hold about you under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you would like a copy of the information held on you, please email me on alice@weightwithalice.co.uk
The right to access the personal data I hold about you.
The right to have your personal data rectified if any of your personal data held by me is inaccurate or incomplete.
The right to be forgotten, i.e. the right to ask us to delete or otherwise dispose of any of your personal data that we hold.
The right to restrict (i.e. prevent) the processing of your personal data.
The right to object to using your personal data for a particular purpose or purposes.
The right to withdraw consent. This means that, if I am relying on your consent as the legal basis for using your personal data, you are free to withdraw that consent at any time.
The right to data portability. This means that, if you have provided personal data to us directly, I am using it with your consent or for the performance of a contract, and that data is processed using automated means, you can ask for a copy of that personal data to re-use with another service or business in many cases.
Rights relating to automated decision-making and profiling. I do not use your personal data in this way.
If you have any cause for complaint about the use of your personal data, I would welcome an opportunity to resolve this with you: please contact me. If you are not happy with how I have attempted to resolve your complaint, you may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk). I would, however, appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns before you approach the ICO.
Secure record keeping
I am committed to ensuring that your information is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, I have put in place encrypted electronic systems and standard operating procedures to safeguard and secure the information I collect. Please be aware that it is required by law that treatment records are kept for 10 years from your last contact (for clients over 18 years old) or 10 years after turning 18 years old (for clients under 18 years old). After a period of 10 years from last contact, your records will be destroyed unless you request otherwise.
